Guidance for APGENCO AEs/Electrical Exam :

APGENCO , Assistant Engineer Exam pattern is for 100 Marks out of which 70 marks for Technical and remaining 30 marks for analytical, so the appearants has to concentrate equally on Technical as well as analytical aspect.
Even though the number of posts appears to be huge number, coming to branch wise, zonal wise, and community wise , the number of posts results in a single digit.
At the same time, the number of applications are in the range of 01: 100 and even more. Hence one can easily understood the competition for APGENCO Tr.AEs Exam ….
To Succeed in  such type of heavy competitive exams, a smart , but  not hard , preparation is required.
Also , the exam is going to be conduct on 22 jan 2012, and hence very short span of time is available  for preparation ::

Hence it is suggested that the candidate who had taken GATE coaching , they can primarily concentrate on the GATE-class notes & then concentrate objectives available in the standard text books..
Upto 2008 ,   most of the questions appeared in the exam are from the following text books…
01. Electrical Power Systems ----  CL Wadhwa   (  Back side Bits)
02. Electrical Objectives        ----   J.B.Gupta
03. Electrical Machinery       -----    PS Bimbra   ( Networks + Machines) Backside bits

It can be concluded that , by observing the previous exam pattern that, a simple preparation is enough for answering the questions from the Circuit Theory and Control System subjects…

Coming to the analytical part, even though the candidate is examined for 30 marks , but these 30 marks are very crucial as well as the deciding factor also , because ; all the applicants are familier with the technical subject and hence at the end of the technical part ; there  may not be much difference in the marks scored in technical subject..
Further it is suggested that , even though we are technically sound, due to tension, exam fobio & some other reason; we will do mistakes even we can able to answer the questions..
If you are prepare in systematic way in this short span time, you can easily get succeed …
Some sample Technical questions are given below for reference….
And I wish tou ALL THE BEST…………….

the sample questions will be posted soon......

Saturday 17 September 2011

coming soon the APGENCO notification, Be ready...............

AP Genco Preparation :
the AP Genco notification will be released soon in the month of october .
so many people asking me whether the preparation is same for Genco and Transco ?
coming to my opinion, it is small difference in preparation style .
here, i would like to give the some guidance or how to prepare for Asst.Engineer post in AP GENCO,

                                    Planning:

get plan for whole syllabus.
gather books related to each subjects.
plan perfect scheduled for each subjects.
get the following books which i suggest.

Machines                                       :        P S Bimbra    (  refer backside bits also)
Power systems                             :        C L Wadhwa   ( refer Backside bits also )
Controls                                         :        Nagoor khani
measurement & Istruments          :        Sawhani..

                                         Preparing :

Machines:                                              30 Marks

start with ACE Gate notes of each subjects . better to start with transformers.
and u should by heart the bit in P.S.Bimbra back bits.
while preparing the subject,  just prepare notes for yourself ,

that may be helpful to revise your syllabus easily.
make notes which is important formulae,
dont forget to look the Gate Previous Questions:

Power Systems:                                     30 Marks

Start with ACE Gate notes along with CL Wadhwa.
most of the Question Wil come from Back bits.
Here also u should prepare for ACE Gate Materails and bits
previous Gate Question Papers.

Networks:                                              15 Marks

byheart 100 bits in  PS Bimbra Back side bit Related to Networks.
Refer N C Jagan Book ,
Gate Notes ,
Previous Gate Questions,

Controls:                                                10 Marks
the control system questions can be solved very easy.. so go through any one of the best book i suggest Nagoor khani and bakshi book
Gate notes.

Measurements& instruments:            10 Marks

A K SAWHANI book enough
you may get atleast two questions on bridges, so concentrate on bridges.

coment ur post here...

M.tech after B.tech ?

Those who are not interested to do work in software companies , most of people will
go higher studies after successful completion of their B.tech .
"GATE " is the way to do M.tech in various reputable institutes like IITs,IISc and NITs in india.
From GATE 2012 onwards, most of the PSU companies will recruits based on GATE score only like NTPC, BHEL.
So the GATE exam is useful not only for M.tech but also for Corejobs.

Any queries regarding M.Tech please post here...

Guidelines for AP Genco,AP Transco and all Discoms Exams

Those who are preparing the genco , trancso and all discoms may ask your
queries here.

what next after B.tech ?

hai friends,
this is narendra, completed B.tech electrical in 2007 , and now working in one of the power generating plant.i was joined M.tech and discontinued  ,
now i would like to share and give some brief guidelines for your career after B.tech .
so you can post your query related to  M.tech, career, GATE, PSU, Software and Faculty.
now a days sooo many engineering students are in a confusion stage about their career,
this blog is made only for those people .

apply GATE 2012 ... as the last date is 17-10-2011 through on line.
